Peter Docker is a co-author of Find Your Why (with global sales exceeding 660,000 copies) and the author of Leading from the Jumpseat: How to Create Extraordinary Opportunities by Handing Over Control. He was previously a founding Igniter at Simon Sinek Inc., where he helped organizations uncover and live their “Why.”
Peter served for 25 years as a senior officer and professional pilot in the UK’s Royal Air Force, including active service during the liberation of Kuwait. He has operated as a Force Commander in combat flying operations and served across the globe. His military career has included flying the British Prime Minister, leading aviation training and standards organizations, teaching postgraduates at the UK Defence College, and overseeing multibillion-dollar international procurement projects. He also worked as a crisis manager and international negotiator for the UK government.
Drawing on his extensive military background and over 17 years of experience working with organizations worldwide, Peter now focuses on helping leaders build trust, unlock potential, and empower others by “leading from the jumpseat.”
As a trained leadership consultant and executive coach, Peter has advised senior leaders across 94 countries in industries such as oil & gas, construction, mining, healthcare, banking, hospitality, media, and manufacturing. His clients include Google, Four Seasons Hotels, GE Healthcare, Accenture, EY, American Express, NBCUniversal, Baylor Scott & White, ASOS, and more than 100 others.
